WHAT'S ON

Calabria is not just about beach holidays, the area offers a wide variety of landscapes from mountain pastures to river valley's, from isolated beaches to miles of woods and forests, and as a result  there are numerous activities connected with the landscape.  The golden Park Ranch offers horse riding, trekking, camping, rafting, climbing, absailing, and more.  Sailing, water skiing, diving and other water sports are available up and down the coast, visiting historical sites and towns can keep you busy for weeks. If you are a thrill seeker then the local airport at Scalea offers parachute jumps and sky boarding. For the children there are water parks, fairgrounds, carting and cycling, to coin a phrase, 'there is something for everyone'.

These pictures show activities in the Orsomarso region of Northern Calabria. The 'Fiume Argentino' (Argentino River) and The 'Fiume Lao are the main attractions for raft and canoe activities.
